Nikolas launched his career at a really young age mainly in waterskiing. At 11 years old, he achieved second place in the U-14 European Waterskiing Championship in Belgium 2006 and immediately after, he was selected for the European Open Championships making him the youngest athlete to ever compete in a waterskiing European Open Competition at that time.

Despite the fact that he was advised to concentrate solely on one sport as this would more likely achieve success, he had a different opinion. His philosophy has always been “I have one life to live and I want to do what I love. I don’t want to restrict myself in any way.” So, following  waterskiing in the summer, every winter he was to be found in the mountains on a snowboard, where he also won a number of competitions.

Although he had started wave surfing from a really young age, he had never thought about entering any official competition, but following a trip to the Maldives in 2013 with Nikos Kaklamakis, a Greek Wind Surfing Olympic Gold medalist,  he completely changed his mind about competitive surfing. So by 2018, he had not only won the Greek National surfing tour but also managed to retain his title in the following year. With these competitions under his belt, he secured a place to represent his country in the World Surfing Games in Japan. Nikolas was the first Greek Athlete to ever win a heat in WSG.

Along with his numerous competitive achievements especially in waterskiing, Nikolas has been really active in creating spectacular video content which has often gone viral on multiple platforms. He has built a global community of fans, with a mind-boggling total of almost half a billion views on TikTok.
